The amount of information on the Internet is staggering. Search engines are doing a pretty good job to locate pages with relevant information. However, locating specific information on a web page can be a time-consuming job. This task becomes even more difficult when the page contains content noise like logo's, banner ads, menu structures and frames.

CoolBrowser will help you to locate relevant information on a web page. This is done by analyzing the web page for words, headings, images and links. This information is presented in a treeview. From there it can be saved to a snippet database for later retreival. CoolBrowser will also give a dropdown menu of all links on a web page to enable easy navigation between web pages.

CoolBrowser contains a host of value-added tools that will turn your Internet Explorer browser into an advanced information management tool.

The innovative content grabber will help you to locate and extract or grab specific sections from a web page. The extracted section can be filtered out in a new browser window, leaving out all the irrelevant information like navigational menu's and banners (see figure 1). The new cleaned up content can be copied, printed or saved to the web snippets database. The cleanup can be done in real-time. This means that the extraction can be done interactively and the result can be browsed as a normal web page, temporarily replacing the original web page in your browser.

The filter treeview (see Figure 1) shows you an easy-to-read representation of a web page. This makes it much easier to find information in a large document. The filter treeview can also be searched.

Extracted information can be saved to the snippets database for later reading. The database is searchable and information can be retrieved without leaving your browser. Snippets can be printed, copied, e-mailed and edited from within the browser (see Figure 2). Groups of snippets can also be compile to articles.
